Course Overview
The AAT Level 4 Diploma in Accounting will advance your accounting career by teaching more complex accounting skills, this course gives you the opportunity to gain specialist knowledge through optional units and will prepare you for a specialised role within accountancy with a higher level of responsibility.
As with the previous levels, registration with AAT is required and the cost of this is paid directly to the professional body. The costs below don’t include exam fees payable to the College.
Once you have completed the full pathway you will be eligible to become an AAT Full Member.
This course covers the following topics:
Mandatory units:
– Unit 1: Management accounting: budgeting
– Unit 2: Management accounting: decision and control – Unit 3: Financial statements of limited companies
– Unit 4: Accounting systems and controls
Elective Units (two units from a choice of five):
– Personal tax
– Business tax
– Cash and treasury management
– Credit management
– External auditing

Entry Requirements
Prior knowledge of Level 2 or relevant experience/ qualifications is needed to enter this level of study.
