AS Level / A Level Physical Education (Part-Time)

Course Overview

The AS Level / A Level Physical Education course is a stand-alone course within the Sixth Form Academy (SFA). It is designed for students who are interested in exercise and sport in terms of human anatomy, health and achievement.

It is also about improving the individual’s personal skills and performance(s) in a range of sports/exercises, which will then allow them to also lead others in developing their personal skills and performance in sports/exercises. Assessment is in the form of coursework, practical moderation and a written examination.

  • Entry Requirements

    A minimum of six GCSE at Grade C or above, including Science CC (to include Biology), GCSE P.E at grade B and English/Welsh. Students should possess high level competence in one sport and/or coaching or officiating experience. An interview with a subject specialist
