AS Level / A Level Three-Dimensional Design (Full-Time)

Course Overview

The AS Level / A Level Three-Dimensional (3D) Design course allows you to develop knowledge, understanding and skills of designing and making of three-dimensional work. This is located in the Sixth Form Academy (SFA).

This is suitable for students waning to become designers and work in the creative industry. The focus will be on the process of design through investigation of a range of materials and processes. You will develop skills in research, idea generation/development, 3D experimentation, creative making and evaluating.

  • Entry Requirements

    A minimum of six GCSEs at Grade C or above in English and Mathematics. GCSE Art, Graphics, D&D, or Resistant Materials recommended.

    Students who will follow other A Level courses in Graphic Communication, Textiles and Engineering would be particularly suited to this course.

    Successful completion of the programme could lead to further study or a career in:
    Product Design, Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Craft Production, Jewellery Design, Theatre/Set Design, Interior Design, Exhibition Design, Architecture, Engineering.
