Course Overview

This programme will suit students with an interest in electrical and electronic engineering. The programme will teach you core engineering principles and has been devised to enhance and fill the skill gaps for higher professional technicians or employees looking to up-skill.

This course is run in partnership with Pearson.

  • Entry Requirements

    Entry criteria detail a typical offer but the College considers all applications on an individual basis which means that we could make offers based on quali cations, personal pro le and experience. If you have any queries regarding your offer please contact our Admissions Team. Typical offer: 2 A Levels at E grade or PP/PPP pro le from a BTEC Level 3 quali cation and ve GCSEs at Grade C
    or above, to include English and Maths (or equivalent quali cations).

  • Career Prospects

    The recognised progression route for this programme is into the second year of the HND programme. Electronic and electrical engineers are highly employable and can find work in many industries, including electronics, automotive, IT, telecoms, manufacturing, power, transport, utilities and construction.

    The programme will include lectures, practical workshop and tutorial sessions.

    Additional Course Costs

    You are required to provide suf cient stationery for to support your teaching and learning. Printing charges are 0.02p per black and white A4 and 0.06p for a colour A4. On enrolment you are allocated £3.00 for printing costs on your student ID card. Additional credits can be purchased in the libraries. A scientific calculator is required for this programme.
