The HND General Engineering is a higher education course that can be studied full- or part-time over two or three years respectively. It offers you the opportunity to study the discipline of manufacturing at a technical level and as such provides you with a qualification that reflects your theoretical and practical knowledge. Engineering is a subject area with great career prospects, and we link our course tightly to the needs of the manufacturing industries. Manufacturing engineers help design the most efficient ways to produce goods across a huge range of industries, from food to plastics and pharmaceuticals. You could also work in utilities or even the armed forces.
This course is run in partnership with Pearson.
Entry criteria detail a typical offer but the College considers all applications on an individual basis which means that we could make offers based on qualifications, personal profile and experience. If you have any queries regarding your offer please contact our Admissions Team.
Typical offer: 2 A Levels at E grade or PP/PPP profile from a BTEC Level 3 qualification and five GCSEs at Grade C or above, to include English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications).
