Course Overview

This Enhanced full-time one year course is designed as pre-apprenticeship course involves the skills and knowledge needed to do the job, ability to organise work and identify and prevent problems for candidates wanting to progress into the field of Maintenance/Manufacturing and General Engineering.

There are both practical and theoretical classes in subjects such as: Hand fitting and Maintenance techniques, Electronic and Electronics, CAD. Students will also develop soft skills, such as Application of Number, Communication, Problem Solving, Literacy and Numeracy skills related to an Engineering environment.

This Engineering course is made up of practical and theoretical lessons, VRQ2 qualification and also Essential Skills Wales

In addition, you will need to complete a minimum of five weeks work experience and participate in the minimum of five industrial visits.
