Level 2 Painting & Decorating (Full-Time)

Course Overview

The Level 2 Diploma in Painting & Decorating is designed to help develop the painting and decorating skills already gained at Level 1 and will equip you for a job in the construction industry. This is designed for students wanting to become a painter or decorator. This is located in the Construction and the Built Environment (CBE) department.

The course will cover practical craft skills, job knowledge and advanced trade techniques which will include: setting out and planning work, technical painting and wallpapering skills. All learners are encouraged to participate in Skills Competitions as a means of enhancing their practical ability and developing higher level skills. Many of the School’s learners represent the College in Skills Competitions at a regional, Welsh and UK level and the School enjoys much success as a result of Learners achievements. We are continuously recognised for excellence in a number of areas including; brickwork, carpentry and joinery, plastering and technical and professional studies. We have well established links with a number of employers and many of our Learners progress into Apprenticeships or Higher Education on completion of their programme of study.

    Level 1 qualification in Painting and Decorating.

  • Additional Costs

    You will require a range of Personal Protective Equipment and stationary prior to starting on the course including: Safety Boots, Safety Glasses, Dust Mask, Calculator, Scale rule, Pens, pencils and paper, A4 lever arch file.
