Work Skills and Social Education (Full-Time)

Course Overview

The Work Skills and Social Education course is a full-time course which offers learners an opportunity to identify skills needed to work in the local community. This is located in the Foundation Studies (FDS) department.

Learners will work towards Foundation Learning Tier Units and Entry Levels 2 and 3 depending on the individual needs. Learners will study a range of vocational areas including digital literacy, sport, catering and art.

  • Entry Requirements

    Students will have completed units of Foundation Learning Tier at Entry Level 1 or demonstarate an ability to progress onto work-related qualification at Entry Level 2 at appropriate levels before progressing onto this course. 

  • Career Prospects

    At the end of the course, learners will have the opportunity to progress onto our Vocational Sampling programme, work-based learning or supported employment.
