Flower power is coming to NPTC Group next week as the award-winning floristry department presents its end of year floral spectacular.
There will be an array of coloured blooms on display along with demonstrations and top tips for budding florists from tutor Sharon Dower, former student and Chelsea Flower Show Gold medallist and award-winning flower arranger Barbara Cummings and Silver Medal finalist of the Chelsea Flower Show’s Florist of the Year, Sara Lewis.
The event takes place at Nidum Arts Centre on the Neath Campus on Tuesday 8 July from 7pm-9pm and costs £6. The proceeds will go towards the cost of taking a group of students to RHS Tatton Park for them to enter a Floristry College Competition.
Sharon said: “It’s a brilliant end to a very successful year for the floristry department. A total of six RHS medals have been won and a record number of students passing their City and Guilds’ Levels 2 and 3 qualifications. Places are still available on courses starting in September and anyone with an interest in floristry should come along on Tuesday to see floral art at its best.”
