TOP ACHIEVERS GET LAW AWARD
TWO top performing NPTC Group students have had their achievements recognised by receiving awards from an established Neath solicitor, Jennifer Melly.
Rachel Adams, who is now studying Law with Business at Birmingham University, and Nicole Brendel, who is a Law student at Bristol University, were the top performers in A Level Law at NPTC in 2012-13, both achieving A grades at A Level.
As well as the awards, bursary and trophy, both students have also been offered the opportunity of work placement at the town centre’s law firm practice.
Law lecturer at NPTC Group, Jonathan Miller said: “The College strap line ‘more than just an education’ certainly applied to both Nicole and Rachel who threw themselves wholeheartedly into student life at NPTC. As a law lecturer, it is a real pleasure to celebrate success in law. We hear so much negativity concerning young people in the media and it is so good to be reminded of the huge numbers of hard working, caring and considerate young people, such as Nicole and Rachel, who are in our communities.”
Ms Melly said: ”Jennifer Melly Law is delighted to support NPTC Group in awarding its high achieving A Level law students. This has now become an annual event and I think it is important to encourage young students to pursue a career in Law.”
