POLICE CAREER SECURED FOLLOWING SUCCESS OF NEW CKP COURSE
It’s a first all round for a group of students who have just completed their Certificate in Knowledge of Policing (CKP) at NPTC Group.
Not only are they the first cohort to be put through their paces on the brand new course, but the students are now securing jobs with police forces across England and Wales as a result of their qualification and training.
Several are going through the recruitment process with various police forces, whilst one of the students has already been successful in getting a post as a police constable.
The course, which is approved by the College of Policing , can also be delivered bilingually.
The new qualification, which is a Level 3 City and Guilds, will give students the step-up they need to the police service in England or Wales, as most have made it a pre-requisite qualification.
The course is delivered by experienced ex-police personnel at NPTC Group and includes information on policing matters such as arrest, interviewing suspects, supporting witnesses and much more.
Barry Roberts, Head of Sport and Public Services at NPTC Group, said: “We are delighted with the success of the course, especially as students are securing positions within the police service off the back of it. Because the College is an approved training provider by the College of Policing, the qualification is valid for any police service requiring a CKP in England or Wales.
“Because of its success, we plan to run the course every six weeks at Llandarcy Academy of Sport or other venues throughout Wales if the demand grows,” he added.
Enrolment for the next available course on September 6, 2014 is now open. For further information contact 0800 013 254 or check out our website www.nptcgroup.ac.uk
