BUSINESS IDEA IS A WINNER!
Two students from NPTC Group of Colleges have made it through to the Barclays ‘Built for Business’ final at Barclays HQ in London next month.
The competition is a business ideas competition run by Barclays and the National Skills Academy as part of the ‘Prepare for Work’ programme which is designed to help further education college students in the UK improve their chances of securing and maintaining employment.
Students Tiffany Pope is in her first year studying for a BTEC Extended Diploma in Forensic Science and Jacob Blackmore is in his second year of a BTEC L3 in Sport at the Llandarcy Campus. Their idea is ‘Baggsy – the fashionable, extendable bag’ for young males and females that combines style and functionality.
They will pitch their idea to a team of experts at Barclays HQ in Canary Wharf on the 12th June.
This is the second time that students from the College have made it to the final – four of our A Level students reached the final last year with their social enterprise idea of a pop up cinema experience.
