Higher Education Open Evenings 2020
6 May – Afan College & Brecon Beacons College
7 May – Neath College & Newtown College
We are pleased to have developed a number of wide-ranging degree programmes in partnership with a range of prestigious Higher Education institutions such as: The University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Glyndwr University, University of South Wales and Pearson.
All of our Higher Education courses have been designed with employment and future careers in mind and we strive to give our graduates the best experience and knowledge to equip them for the working world.
Our Higher Education courses are;
Local – You won’t need to move away from home to study making it easier to fit in with your work and family life.
Affordable – Less travel costs and no need to move away from home. This can keep your living costs down to a manageable level.
Flexible – Our Higher Education programmes often have full-time and part-time routes. We try to organise the timetable so you can still work or carry out family commitments whilst you are studying.
Supportive – Class sizes are smaller than at university, enabling you to receive more individual attention and guidance from your tutor.
We also have a range of Access to Higher Education courses, designed to prepare learners without traditional qualifications for study at University. We have a Pre-Access course and a number of Access courses in, Health Care (routes into Nursing and Midwifery) and Humanities (routes into Teaching).
Are you thinking of a career change? Do you want to teach? Maybe you have years of industry experience and want to share your knowledge with the next generation?
At our Open Evening you can find out all about teaching in Further Education and how you can begin your teaching career with a PGCE or PCE qualification.
The Professional Graduate Certificate in Education PGCE is for you if you are a graduate from a relevant subject looking to gain a nationally recognised teaching qualification to work in further education.
The Professional Certificate in Education PCE is for you if you have a subject qualification (Level 3 or above) and are looking to gain a nationally recognised teaching qualification to work in further education.
Introduction to Teaching (Part-time) introduces you to the teaching practices that are required for successful performance in the Post-Compulsory Education Sector.
Don’t let funding be a barrier to education. Student Finance Wales can help!
