Skills For Growth
Funding to help upskill your workforce
What is Skills for Growth?
Skills for Growth is a project that consists of two Welsh Government schemes aimed at improving the skills and knowledge of employees, with low or no qualifications, in the workplace. These schemes are Skills for Industry, which operates in the south-west Wales area and Upskilling@Work, which operates in east Wales and Powys. Both these schemes are run by WEFO and are funded through the European Social Fund (ESF).
Business Benefits
The success of your business is dependent on the skills of your staff. This project allows employers to improve the knowledge and qualifications of their employees in industry-specific areas. NPTC Group of Colleges will work with businesses of all sizes to meet individual requirements and identify suitable staff to develop a bespoke training plan. The training and assessing of the qualification can be delivered onsite and is flexible to the needs of the individual company, therefore minimising loss of production time. The courses are subsidised by the European Union and you will be required to contribute a percentage of the full course cost, depending on the size of your business:
- 30% for small businesses
- 40% for medium businesses
- 50% for large businesses
We offer a variety of courses across many ‘priority areas’ and sectors including:
