Applying to Study with NPTC Group of Colleges
We know applying to college can seem complicated, that’s why we’ve put together this page – so you can be sure you’re on the right track. If you have any questions or need help at any time, call our Admissions team on 01639 648033.
Make the Right Choice
The number of courses on offer might seem a bit overwhelming, especially if you’re not sure exactly what you want to do. If you are undecided, think about the subjects you enjoy and the things you like to do in your spare time.
We offer a huge range of courses at all levels up to degree and beyond in subjects ranging from Agricultural Mechanics to Welsh Second Language. Your GCSE results will help you decide which level is best for you. Whatever your qualifications, we have a course for you.
To help you make the right choice, our staff are on hand to answer any questions you may have. Call, email or DM us on Facebook or Twitter. We’ll also hold a series of Open Events throughout the year, and each one is an opportunity for you to view our facilities and ask as many questions as you can.
How to Apply
1. Select your subject or course
Attending open days and researching our courses will help you decide!
Once you’ve selected your course or subject, click on the green ‘Apply Now’ button under the study location of choice. This will take you to our application portal where you will be asked to create an account to begin your application. You will be able to save and return to your application while it is in progress.

Pupils attending schools in the City and County of Swansea will have to make all their applications for choices via the UCAS Progress website. Please ensure you check your account on the UCAS Progress website regularly for any updates or messages.
If you are unsure of any aspect of the UCAS Progress application, please contact our Admissions team on tel: 01639 648000 or e-mail email@example.com
3. Attend an Information Evening
Once we have prcessed your application, we’ll invite you to attend an Information Evening. It’s your opportunity to find out more about the course you have selected and meet the lecturers who’ll be teaching you. If necessary, we can offer you further advice and guidance.
When you are happy with the choice you’ve made, we’ll make you a conditional offer by e-mail. This will confirm the course you’ve applied for and the grades you’ll need in order to enrol onto the course. You then accept the offer by following the instructions on the e-mail or by contacting the Admissions team on 01639 648033.
There is an exciting opportunity for students to develop leadership and communication skills through the Sporting & Cultural Scholarship & Ambassador Programmes.
Keep in Touch
Even once you’ve accepted the offer, your choice is not set in stone. There are still plenty of opportunities left for you to talk to your course tutors and view our facilities. We encourage you to attend as many of our Open Events as you can in order to be sure the course you’ve chosen is right for you.
In addition, you also have the opportunity to experience ‘A Day in the Life of an NPTC Group of Colleges’ Student’.
During the summer holidays, we’ll send you an enrolment pack. Read the pack carefully – it’ll tell you everything you need to know before you join us. Don’t hesitate to get in touch if there’s something you don’t understand.
Just so you know, enrolment will begin on GCSE Results Day, and the minimum you’ll need to bring is your exam results and £50 to cover the Administration Fee.
If your grades aren’t what you expected, please don’t worry; our guidance team will help you find a course that is suitable for you.
At enrolment you will be given your start date, and told where you’ll need to go.
