Entry criteria detail a typical offer but the College considers all applications on an individual basis which means that we could make offers based on qualifications, personal profile and experience. Typical offer: 2 A Levels at D Grade or MP/PPP profile from a BTEC Level 3 qualification and five GCSEs at Grade C or above, to include English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications).
Mature students (over 21 years) can be accepted with lower/no academic qualifications and are assessed on a case by case basis looking at the individual profile and the work/life experience etc.
The recognised progression route is onto the BSC (Hons) Applied Computing course offered at NPTC Group of Colleges.
Year 1 Modules include: Programming, Networking, Professional Practice, Database design and Development, Security, Managing a Successful Computing Project. Year 2 Modules include: Computing Research Project, Business Intelligence, Application Development, Database Management Systems. Subject to demand and viability additional units in the following pathways may be offered: Games, Networks, General.
This programme will include lectures and workshop sessions. You will have to complete written assignments as you progress through the programme.
There may be additional course-related costs for text books and educational visits
