If you are living in Wales, aged 16 or older, and not in full-time education you can apply for an apprenticeship. Apprenticeships provide a great opportunity for individuals who are looking to learn new skills, gain practical experience in the workplace and work towards industry recognised qualifications while earning an income.

You are eligible if you are:
Living or working in Wales (must meet eligibility criteria),
Employed for at least 16 hours each week throughout the apprenticeship,
Not in full-time education, employment or training.
This differs with each route, training can include:
Training in your workplace.
Training at college part-time.
Training at a training centre which you could attend once a week or in blocks of a few days or weeks.
Training at university if you are doing a higher level or degree Apprenticeship.
We support a range of apprenticeships from foundation level (Level 2) through to degree apprenticeships depending on the route you choose.
Jobs Growth Wales+
If you are not yet ready to complete an apprenticeship, then the Jobs growth Wales+ programme may benefit you. You will need to be living in Wales and aged 16-19 and not in full-time education. We support the following routes:
Engagement
You will have the opportunity to complete you Essential Skills Wales at Entry level in Application of Number, Communication and Digital Literacy.
You will also gain work experience at a placement in the Motor Vehicle industry and develop employability skills, these may include personal health and wellbeing and development, communication, customer service, emotional intelligence, work related skills, equality and diversity, financial awareness and job searching.
You will work up to 30 hours per week in your placement. You can earn up to £60 per week depending on the number of hours worked.
A meal allowance will be provided, and your travel costs will be reimbursed.
Advancement
You will have the opportunity to complete the Electrical/Hybrid Vehicle Awareness Award Level 1 and Essential Skills Wales at level 1 in Application of Number, Communication and Digital Literacy.
You will work up to 40 hours per week which includes college attendance and time in your placement. You can earn up to £80 per week depending on the number of hours worked and college attendance.
A meal allowance will be provided, and your travel costs will be reimbursed.
Engagement
You will have the opportunity to complete you Essential Skills Wales at Entry level in Application of Number, Communication and Digital Literacy.
You will also gain work experience at a placement in the Construction industry and develop employability skills, these may include personal health and wellbeing and development, communication, customer service, emotional intelligence, work related skills, equality and diversity, financial awareness and job searching.
You will work up to 30 hours per week in your placement. You can earn up to £60 per week depending on the number of hours worked.
A meal allowance will be provided, and your travel costs will be reimbursed.
You will have the opportunity to complete you Essential Skills Wales at Entry level in Application of Number, Communication and Digital Literacy.
You will also gain work experience at a placement in a Child Care setting and develop employability skills, these may include personal health and wellbeing and development, communication, customer service, emotional intelligence, work related skills, equality and diversity, financial awareness and job searching.
You will work up to 30 hours per week in your placement. You can earn up to £60 per week depending on the number of hours worked.
