This website is run by NPTC Group of Colleges. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

How accessible this website is
We are proud to work with ‘Recite Me’; a leader in the field of accessibility technology.
At the top of each page of our website, you will find a launch button for our ‘Recite Me’ toolbar.

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances and exemptions listed below.
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
- Some images do not have a text alternative, so people using a screen reader cannot access the information. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.1.1 (non-text content).
We plan to add text alternatives for all images and are currently working on updating images in date order. When we publish new content, we’ll make sure our use of images meets accessibility standards.
- The chat box at the bottom of the webpage is not accessible using the keyboard. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criteria 1.1.1 and 2.1.1 (keyboard, and non-text content).
This is an externally provided Facebook Messenger widget, provided by Facebook (Meta). We are unable to change accessibility settings or add alternate text. We have updated to the latest version and reported this to Facebook (Meta) and are currently looking at other AI chat solutions. We will review this by October 2024.
- The headers of the table in the insurance policy PDF document are not correctly marked. This fails WCAG 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships: In tables. (PDF))
All PDFs that fail to meet this criteria have now been removed from the website.
- At 400% zoom and in mobile view, the captcha box does not reflow to fit the page correctly. This fails WCAG 1.4.10 (Reflow: 400% & mobile view)
The Google reCAPTCHA badge is an iframe from Google and, therefore not editable.
Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
PDFs and other documents
- Some of our PDFs and Word documents are essential to providing our services. For example, we have PDFs with information on how users can access our services, and forms published as Word documents. We plan to either fix these or replace them with accessible HTML pages.
The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services.
Any new PDFs or Word documents we publish and own will meet accessibility standards.
We do not plan to add captions to live video streams because live video is exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations.
