Taster & Transition Sessions

Each year, NPTC Group of Colleges encourages pupils to take part in a range of taster sessions that are designed to provide a detailed look at the subjects on offer. With the effects of the pandemic, we haven’t been able to deliver these sessions in person. However, this year, we are harnessing the blended learning expertise that we have gained during the time of Covid to deliver our taster sessions remotely.

We have also built a resource pack of taster lessons and videos. Our fantastic staff have been working hard at home to give you a glimpse of the subjects they love!

AS Level Transition and GCSE Bridging Resources

Our A Level subject specialists have created a bespoke set of resources for you to access online. Each subject resource is in the form of a playlist and will give you an insight into important skills you will need while studying the AS subject.

You can access these resources from home, and work through them at your own pace. We would expect you to take about two hours to work through each subject playlist.

In addition, there are GCSE Maths and English bridging playlists available which you may find helpful to brush up your skills on key topics from your GCSE.

Taster Videos

If you’re thinking of joining us, check out this collection of short videos we’ve put together to introduce some of the things you can study. You can check out as many subjects/areas as you like in these virtual taster sessions. Each video is a unique interpretation of what NPTC Group of Colleges has to offer.
