Access to Higher Education Diplomas Level 3
This course is designed for adults who want to study a university-level course but don’t have a Level 3 qualification.
Higher National Certificate (HNC ) / Certificate in Higher Education (CertHE) Level 4
These courses provide practical, work-related skills that employers value and are usually offered part-time, so you can earn while you learn. Equivalent to the first year of HND/ BEng (Hons)/BA (Hons)/BSc (Hons) Degree.
Higher National Diploma (HND) / Diploma in Higher Education (DipHE) – Level 5
These courses focus on hands-on skills and real-world applications, making them ideal for those who prefer practical learning over theory-heavy courses. Equivalent to the first and second year of a BA (Hons)/BEng (Hons)/BSc (Hons) Degree.
BA (Hons) / BSc (Hons) Degree – Level 6
These courses are widely recognised and can increase job opportunities and salary potential.
Foundation Degree – Level 5
These courses combine academic and workplace skills and focus on a particular job or profession.
Degree Apprenticeships – Level 6
These courses combine on-the-job training with academic study, so you’ll gain practical experience that makes you highly employable.
Professional Certificate in Education – Level 5 / Professional Graduate Certificate in Education –
Level 6
These courses open doors to a teaching role in post-16 education.
Entry requirements for our courses will be listed on each course page, however, if your qualifications do not meet the entry requirements, we would still encourage you to apply for the course you’re interested in, as many of our courses will consider mature learners based on their experience rather than their qualifications.
Contextual Admissions is where consideration of additional information beyond academic attainment, such as your social economic background is used in consideration of your application. At NPTC Group of Colleges we are committed to widening participation and providing educational opportunities for all and we consider all applications on an individual basis, taking into account any relevant information relating to applicants’ background.

University Campus @ NPTC Group of Colleges works in partnership with several universities and awarding organisations to deliver higher education courses. While we are responsible for teaching, learning support, student services, and the day-to-day delivery of your course, your qualification is awarded by one of our university partners or awarding bodies.

Wrexham University (Wrexham)
We also deliver Higher National (HN) qualifications, including Higher National Certificates (HNCs) and Higher National Diplomas (HNDs), which Pearson awards.
Depending on your course, your awarding partner may be responsible for:
Awarding your qualification.
Setting academic regulations and quality standards.
Approving course and module changes.
Providing access to additional resources and services.
Supporting academic quality assurance and enhancement processes.
Reviewing certain complaints, appeals, or academic decisions where applicable.
