We are thrilled to announce that Freya Roche, one of our outstanding BSc Childhood Studies students, has received offers from both the University of Wales Trinity Saint David and Cardiff University to study for her Primary PGCE.
Freya’s journey is a fantastic example of progression, dedication, and determination. Having begun her academic path on the Level 3 Health Studies course at NPTC Group of Colleges, she has worked incredibly hard to reach this milestone. Her success reflects the strength of our programmes in supporting learners to achieve their ambitions and pursue rewarding careers in education.
Freya’s lecturer, Rebecca James, was delighted with the news:
“Freya has been an exceptional student who has shown incredible growth throughout her time on the programme. Coming from a Health Studies background, it has been inspiring to watch her discover a real passion for supporting children with additional needs. Since starting her degree, she has taken this commitment further by securing a role within a Severe Learning Difficulty Unit, where she is already making a difference. Freya truly understands the vital importance of emotional well-being in helping children engage fully in their education and overcome challenges. Her empathy, dedication, and professionalism will make her an invaluable asset to any school fortunate enough to have her on their team.”
Freya is absolutely delighted with the offers, and we are incredibly proud of her achievements. We wish her every success as she begins this exciting new chapter in her journey to becoming an inspiring primary school teacher.
She was quick to praise her lecturers for the support they have provided throughout her studies. She said:
“They have been incredibly supportive throughout the degree, always taking the time to check in and make sure I understood the material. Their encouragement and willingness to help have boosted my confidence and made me feel genuinely supported in my studies – thank you!”
