Course Overview
This course prepares you for university-level study in health-related subjects, helping you build the confidence, knowledge and academic skills needed to progress. You will develop a strong understanding of key health care topics while improving your study and communication skills, supporting both further study and employment opportunities. It is suitable if you are returning to education or looking to change career and supports progression into a wide range of health professions such as nursing, midwifery and social work.
Day and time:
Year One – Wednesday 1pm-3pm and Thursday 9.15am-1.45pm
Year Two – Thursday 1pm-3pm and Friday 9.30am – 3pm
Start date: 16th September 2026
Duration: Two years (September to June)

• Learners returning to education or without recent formal qualifications
