The Access to Higher Education Health Care Diploma course develops the confidence, knowledge, and skills necessary to allow learners to progress to undergraduate study and to enhance their employment potential.
Applications are invited from those aged 19 or above. Entry requirements are GCSE Maths and English Language, at grade C or above, or for those with no formal qualifications, the College can arrange for a skills assessment to be carried out. All applicants will need to attend an interview to determine suitability for the course. Applicants should have a positive disposition be motivated reliable.
The course has been created for those wishing to progress to undergraduate study and pursue careers in health care professions. Options available include: nursing, paediatric nursing, mental health nursing, midwifery, audiology, paramedic science, speech and language therapy, ODP and social work.

Teaching and assessment methods mirror those used at university. Learners abilities are measured using a range of strategies including oral presentations, academic posters, essays and time controlled tests.
