Access to HE Diploma – Humanities and Social Science (Full-Time)
Course Overview
The Access to Higher Education Diploma in Humanities and Social Science at NPTC Group of Colleges prepares students for progression to university-level study in subjects such as History, Psychology, Sociology, English and Media. The course is designed for adult learners returning to education or those without traditional qualifications, developing academic writing, research, critical thinking, communication and numeracy skills needed for Higher Education and employment.
Applicants must be aged 19 or over.
Formal qualifications are not required.
Students must demonstrate suitable literacy and numeracy skills, normally evidenced by:
- English Language Grade C/4 or above
- Maths Grade D/3 or above
- Completion of a skills assessment
All applicants will attend an interview to ensure the course is appropriate.
Students should be motivated, reliable and prepared to meet academic challenges.
On successful completion, students may progress to degree programmes in:
