Course Overview
This course is a multi-disciplinary engineering programme and is the first year of progression onto the Extended Diploma. This course is equivalent to 1.5 A Levels in UCAS Points and covers the necessary engineering skills and knowledge for students wishing to progress to University or onto an Apprenticeship. It is a combination of theory, applied theory and practical tasks over a range of modules.
The course will cover a range of topics, including health and safety, engineering principles, CAD, and Electronics. Students will gain an understanding of the different Engineering disciplines and the different Engineering areas that make this field so varied and exciting.
The practical skills are in a safe and controlled environment. The course is aimed at exceptional students who have completed Level 2 and wish to continue onto a higher-level course, such as a HNC/HND.
