Course Overview
Discover the joy of creating art from the ground up. This non-accredited beginner course introduces essential drawing and painting techniques and supports you to build confidence, explore a range of materials, and begin developing your own artistic style. The course is ideal if you want to prepare for further study in art and design or return to learning in a supportive, practical environment.
Day and time: Tuesday 5.30pm to 7.30pm

Duration: 10 weeks
Who is this course for?
• Adult learners with little or no previous experience in art and design
• Those returning to learning who want to build confidence through practical work
• Learners interested in progressing to an accredited Art and Design course
What you will learn
• Drawing and painting fundamentals including line, tone, colour and composition
• How to use and experiment with a range of art materials and techniques
• How to plan and complete creative work through guided practical projects
By the end of the course, you will have produced a small collection of finished artworks and developed the confidence and skills needed to progress to further study in art and design.
