The WJEC Level 3 Diploma in Tourism is a full-time, two-year further education course equivalent to one A Level designed for students who are interested in the holiday and leisure industry, which is widely recognised to be the largest commercial service sector industry in the world. Travel sector jobs are projected to grow, as is demand for graduate positions, and this programme will provide you with transferable skills that will prepare you for the world of work in travel and tourism and beyond.
The course will enable you to gain the required understanding and skills to be able to consider employment within a wide spectrum of organisations, including those operating within the industry.

A minimum of six GCSEs at Grade C or above including English and Mathematics.
The recognised progression route is onto the Foundation Degree in International Tourism & Events Management or other similar HE course. Graduates have employment prospects in travel and tourism-related disciplines, including airport staff, cabin crew, travel agent, working in visitor attractions, overseas representative, or event planning and marketing.
Modules include, but are not limited to: The United Kingdom Tourism Product, Worldwide Tourism Destinations, The Dynamics of Tourism, and Planning Tourism Services.
You will learn – via taught lessons and practical classes – underpinning knowledge essential to the course. Assessment takes place via coursework and assignments, portfolio assessment and external examinations.
