Access to HE Diploma – Business & Financial Services (Full-Time)
Course Overview
The Access to Higher Education Diploma – Business & Financial Services is a challenging full-time course designed for students aged 18 or over who wish to progress into higher education in business, finance or related subjects. Delivered by NPTC Group of Colleges within the School of Professional Services, the course develops essential academic, professional and study skills to support progression to university or to enhance employment prospects.
Applications are welcomed from students who do not hold formal qualifications; however, a skills assessment and interview will be required to determine suitability for the course. Students who already hold GCSE Mathematics and English Language at grade C or above are not required to complete the skills assessment but must still attend an interview. Applicants should demonstrate motivation, reliability and maturity, be able to manage challenges positively, and provide evidence of relevant life experience.
Successful completion of the course enables progression to a wide range of higher education degree programmes, including Business, Tourism, Finance and Law. The qualification may also be used as evidence of recent academic study when seeking new career opportunities, with direct entry available to selected business and tourism higher education courses.

A range of interactive and student-led teaching methods are used to support engagement and development. Assessment is carried out through a variety of methods, including presentations, written reports, essays and class-based tests.
