The AS Level and A Level Business course at NPTC Group of Colleges is designed for students who want to develop a strong understanding of business and management. Students will explore how organisations operate, make decisions and respond to a changing economic environment, while developing analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills that prepare them for higher education or employment.
Students will typically require 6 GCSEs at grade C or above, including English and Mathematics. A grade B in English Language is desirable.
Students can progress directly into employment or onto full-time or part-time degree programmes. This course provides a strong foundation for careers in:
- business management
- accountancy
- marketing
- human resources
- legal professions
Students will study a range of business topics, including:
- business opportunities
- business functions
- business analysis and strategy
- business in a changing world
Assessment takes place through examinations, with exams at the end of the first year and further exams at the end of the second year.
There may be additional course-related costs, including textbooks, stationery, printing and educational visits.
