The Level 1 Diploma in Food Industry Bakery Skills (FDQ) is a Full-time Further Education course designed for students who are considering working as a baker, in a baking or food manufacturing environment. This is located in the Catering, Hospitality and Agriculture (CHA) department.
It offers learners the opportunity to develop advanced practical skills and knowledge in a wide range of food industry skill techniques, in this case, the baking industry. The course offers you a unique mix of knowledge with units covering food industry knowledge. It is a complementary qualification to support individual development for proficiency qualifications in Baking Industry Skills and also for Apprenticeships.
GCSE Maths and English A-G. Appropriate equivalent qualifications are also considered. Entry to the course is based on a successful interview.
FDQ Level 2 Diploma in Professional Bakery Skills.
Training at our Bakery Academy,this bakery manufacturing course will provide you with the skills needed to enter the bakery profession and or progress to level 2. The course provides a good introduction to the bakery and manufacturing industry.
Throughout the year you will build a portfolio of evidence that includes both practical and assignment based tasks.
There will be additional course-related costs for uniform etc.
