Course Overview
The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Interior Systems (Construction) is designed for individuals who need to demonstrate the knowledge and skills required to install a wide range of interior systems within the construction environment. This includes pathways such as suspended ceilings, demountable partitioning, operable walls, glass partitions, dry lining fixing, and dry lining finishing.
The qualification ensures candidates can work safely, follow industry-recognised standards, and complete tasks with minimal supervision across a variety of interior installation environments.
Delegates must be employed in a role that allows them to generate workplace evidence.
Successful delegates gain increased employment opportunities across the interior systems sector. They also gain a foundation for advancing to higher-level NVQs.
This course covers:
Mandatory Units:
- Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace
- Conforming to productive working practices in the workplace
- Moving, handling and storing resources in the workplace
Pathway 1 - Ceiling Fixing:
- Installing suspended ceiling systems in the workplace
Pathway 2 - Modular Demountable Partitioning:
- Installing and relocating modular demountable partition systems in the workplace
Pathway 3 - Operable Partition Systems:
- Installing and relocating operable portioning systems in the workplace
Pathway 4 - Glass Partition/Internal Screen Systems:
- Installing and relocating glass partition/internal screen systems in the workplace
Pathway 5 - Dry Lining - Fixing (both units to be completed as part of this pathway):
- Installing dry lining systems in the workplace
- Installing plasterboard linings in the workplace
Pathway 6-Dry Lining-Finishing:
- Finishing dry lining walls and ceilings in the workplace
- Observation in the Workplace
- Portfolio of Evidence
