Course Overview

The Foundation Degree Childhood Studies is a two-year, full-time Higher Education programme which explores the development, learning and well being of children and young people from birth to 18 years. The course also provides a pathway to progress onto a BSc (Hons) programme to deepen and extend this knowledge.

The course will suit students who wish to develop a broad range of knowledge and skills relevant to working with children and young people and career pathways can include: paediatric nursing, teaching, health visitor, nursery worker in the public and independent sectors, social worker and people working in the youth justice and law enforcement sectors. This is located in the Health, Social and Childcare (HSC) department.

This course is run in partnership with the University of South Wales.
