This Apprenticeship will support candidates who have an interest in working in an engineering or manufacturing industry and would like to gain an intermediate level of knowledge and understanding about the engineering sector. Assessments are carried out in college using practical and written assessment and an online test.
This Apprenticeship is delivered in Newtown.

Apprentices will work towards the following qualifications:
· EAL Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Performing Engineering Operations
Units will include: Complying with statutory regulations and organisational safety requirements, Working Efficiently and Effectively in Engineering, Using and Communicating Technical Information, Preparing and Using Semi-automatic MIG, MAG and Flux Cored Arc Welding Equipment, Assembling and Testing Electronic Circuits and General Machining, Fitting and Assembly Applications.
· EAL Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Performing Engineering Operations
Engineering Environment Awareness, Engineering Techniques, Engineering Mathematics and Science Principles, Electrical and Electronic Systems and Devices, Fitting and Assembly Techniques, Manual Turning Techniques and Manual Milling Techniques.
· ESW Application of Number Skills (proxy exemptions apply)
· ESW Communication Skills (proxy exemptions apply)
