NPTC Group of Colleges is celebrating after ten of its students qualified for the UK Finals of WorldSkills 2025.
Huge congratulations to the students who will compete in a range of disciplines at the finals, which will take place in Newport this November.

The number of finalists places NPTC Group of Colleges in the top third of further education providers across Wales, with Team Wales making up 29 percent of the WorldSkills National Finalists.
Kathryn Dunstan, Assistant Principal: Commercial, and Skills Lead at NPTC Group of Colleges, said: “This is an outstanding achievement that reflects the strength of the College’s dedication to vocational education and its commitment to delivering practical, in-demand job skills.”
WorldSkills, the largest international skills competition, showcases talent in vocational education across the UK, highlighting the importance of practical skills and providing a platform for students to gain national recognition.
Ben Blackledge, CEO, WorldSkills UK, said: “Our competitions test learners’ skills against global industry standards, providing a powerful platform to showcase their talents. Over two intensive days of competition, they will gain valuable skills and confidence, which will turbocharge their careers and make the UK economy more competitive.
“With employers all over the UK crying out for high-quality skills, this is a fantastic opportunity for hundreds of learners to show they are ready for work. I can’t wait to see the finalists in action.”
Alongside this, the College has a finalist in the SkillBuild National Final 2025. Samantha Fernandez will represent NPTC Group of Colleges in carpentry at the competition which brings together the best construction trainees from across the UK to compete at the highest level. The final will take place on 19-20 November at Arena MK in Milton Keynes.
With further finalists expected to be announced in the coming days, the number of College students in the finals may still rise.
