AS Level / A Level English Language (Full-Time/Part-Time)
Course Overview
The AS Level and A Level English Language course at NPTC Group of Colleges is designed to develop students’ understanding of how language is used in a variety of contexts. Students will explore spoken and written language, developing analytical, critical and communication skills to support progression into higher education and careers.
Students will typically require 6 GCSEs at grade C or above, including English.
Students can progress to higher education or careers in areas such as:
- journalism
- teaching
- marketing
- communications
- public relations
Students will study a range of topics including:
- language analysis
- language change
- spoken and written language
- creative and academic writing
Students are assessed through written examinations and coursework.
There may be additional course-related costs, including textbooks, stationery, printing and educational visits.
