Course Overview
The content and structure of the qualification has been developed to provide learners with a comprehensive skills and knowledge needed to do the job, ability to organise work and identify and prevent problems to the practices and processes of engineering. The achievement of NVQs will encourage an employee to value their contribution to the workplace, and it will develop their skills and potential. It covers basic knowledge, understanding and skills that are relevant to a wide variety of careers and study routes within the engineering industry and takes a hands on approach to basic engineering training.
The course includes units such as: Health and Safety, Engineering drawing, Science and Calculations, MAGS welding, TIG welding, Fabrication and Oxy-fuel gas cutting.
