Governance is to do with those ideas, structures and systems which shape the strategic direction and management of the College for the benefit of all its stakeholders – the students, their parents, current and future employers, the staff and the wider community of interests that taken as whole reflect and represent Neath Port Talbot and Powys. Governors, via the Corporation Board and its Committees, are responsible for the mission, strategic direction and financial security of the College. The Senior Management Team, led by the CEO, is responsible for the strategic management of the College and implementation of Corporation policy.
The Chair of the Board of Governors is Gaynor Richards MBE (picture and biography below). Gaynor is the Executive Director of Neath Port Talbot Council for Voluntary Service.
Part of the management ethos of the NPTC Group is the wish to demonstrate its commitment to openness, transparency, honesty and accountability by putting into the public domain as much information as can reasonably do so without compromising business confidentiality and the legal rights of individuals.

Section 1: Governance Handbook – a user guide for governors outlining details of current membership, governance and management structures, duties and responsibilities of both individuals and committees together with key policies and procedures.
Section 2: NPTC Group – Annual Governance Report 2015-16 – a part compliance and part information report on a wide range of governance issues.
Section 4: Minutes – the formal record of all non-confidential matters discussed and approved at Corporation and Committee meetings.
