Are you interested in Health and Social Care training?

This qualification will support roles such as a care worker, support worker, day care assistant, domiciliary carer or similar role. At Pathways Training we deliver Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care that will give learners a nationally recognised qualification. Learners will develop skills in the workplace with assessor support for up to 15 months.

We offer:

Level 2

Foundation Apprenticeship

Units may include: The role of the health and social care worker, understand mental health problems, dementia awareness, causes and spread of infection, administer medication to individuals and monitor the effects, and many more.

Level 3

Apprenticeship

Units may include: Principles of safeguarding and protection in health and social care, the role of the health and social care worker, understand mental health problems, understand physical disability, increase awareness about drugs, alcohol or other substances with individuals and groups, and many more.

Apprenticeships include:

  • Diploma in Health and Social Care
  • ESW Communication Skills
  • ESW Application of Number Skills

Entry requirements

Learners must be:

  • Living or working in Wales
  • Employed for at least 16 hours each week throughout the apprenticeship

Employer Incentive: Your employer may be able to claim up to £3,500 towards the cost of your training (Subject to eligibility criteria).

What will the qualification lead to?

After completing the Apprenticeship learners can progress onto: 

  • Higher Apprenticeship programme
  • Specialist or further education programme
